Bearcub
Take 92 is proud to announce our 50th release since 2005. Bearcub -better known as Kellen Holte- is most recognized as a prolific rock drummer, touring NW clubs with Facing Extinction, Of Mountains and Dead Fucking Serious, to name a few.
His new approach is rooted in folk music that ranges from light as Kimya Dawson to heavy as Johnny Cash. Bearcub represents both ends of the spectrum with disarming candor on his solo debut. The single's b-side, "In Vain," reveals of a more introspective side which is explored further on the EP.
"One Small Step" is a limited pressing of only 100 copies, so visit Bearcub.Take92.com for updates on shows and where to get this free single. "Bearcub EP" is available for preorder on our home page.

The ILLusionists are an alternative hip-hop band from Eugene, OR. Proclaiming "Anti-Wack" status since their inception, their voices are outspoken against the shallow, generic hip-hop that plagues the radio waves today.
Arranged by Web The Free Range Human, the beats combine old school sampling techniques with live instrumentation. The result is a fresh sound with nods to pioneers like The Dust Brothers, DJ Shadow and RJD2 while throwing in occasional thrash punk surprises in the vein of Sick of it All, Suicidal Tendencies and 7 Seconds.
Warm Hands and E. Ville bring irreverence to the mic by drawing on their punk rock roots, peppered with punch lines about comic books and standup comedy. Eugene Weekly describes them as "fast, never boring and always funny." KNRQ says "if you want to piss off your parents, then this is the band for you." |
